Spinal Programs

Low back and neck pain are very common in todays world. There are many things that can cause back pain. If people have back pain without injury most often it can be corrected with exercise, lifestyle change, activity modification, and postural correction. If your back pain is caused by an injury surgical intervention could be warranted. We treat non-operative, pre-operative, and post-operative pain.

Treatment for back pain can include all of the following based on pain and healing timeline from injury or surgery:

  • Postural correction
  • Correcting body mechanics
  • Correcting movement patterns
  • Core and pelvic stabilization
  • Activity modification
  • Decreasing neural tension
  • Improving flexibility
  • Manual therapy for pain control and mobility
  • Electrical Stimulation/Ice/Heat- as needed to control pain

All patients with back pain are encouraged to take up a walking program to keep blood flowing and decrease pain in the back. The limitations of your walking program will be discussed with your therapist. Your therapist will determine the correct plan of care for your needs at the time of your initial evaluation.
