Brandy Artman, MOT, OTR/L
Brandy grew up in a rural town in Mississippi and her fondest memories include camping trips and being outdoors with her family and friends. It was a vacation to the Pacific Northwest that inspired her to move to Oregon in 2018 with her husband and two Pomeranians. Brandy enjoys hiking, walking her dogs, and attending local concerts and shows.
Brandy received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Mississippi State University and went on to graduate with a Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2017. Her interest in Occupational therapy (OT) began when she was pursuing a profession in psychology. She learned about OT from a friend and after researching the profession, realized this was a better fit for her because of her interest in the body and mind and how they are connected. She has been in the profession for two years with experience and special interest in upper extremity and hand rehabilitation and is in the process of obtaining her specialty certification in hand therapy.
"Occupational therapy has allowed me to have a career where I can help individuals return to activities that provide them with a fuller life through skilled, evidence-based interventions and human connection."
